Linnovation installs heating panels at Blankaström hydroelectric power plant

We have completed the installation of our patented heating panels at the Blankaström hydroelectric power plant - an important step towards more modern ice management and increased operational reliability in hydroelectric power.

We continue our work to strengthen energy-efficient ice management in hydropower. Our heating panels have now been installed at Blankaström hydroelectric power plant, contributing to reduced ice formation and higher availability during cold periods.

Our patented heating technology is designed to deliver stable and safe function in Nordic climates, while offering clear operational advantages:

  • Reduced ice formation on critical surfaces

  • More efficient and stable operation at low temperatures

  • Low energy consumption and even heat distribution

  • A solution designed for tough Nordic conditions

The installation at Blankaström is a concrete example of how heating technology can contribute to higher availability and increased production reliability in hydropower – without any mechanical interventions or advanced infrastructure.
